Cross Country Returns From HVIAC Championships

The King's College Men's and Women's Cross Country Team competed at the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) Championships on Sunday at the Hudson Valley Sports Dome in Milton, NY. The team had run the course earlier this month at the Mount Saint Mary's Invitational, so they were somewhat familiar with the location.

Senior Alina Bonn once again led the way for the Lady Lions as she ran a 24:56 for a 19th place finish in the field of 57 runners. Freshman Kaitlin O'Dell placed 31st with a time of 27:53. Senior Hannah Lezak was 34th with a 29:07, and freshman Marisa Wineriter took 41st with a 31:26 on the 5K course. All four ladies shaved 2-3 minutes off their previous times on this course from the October 1 meet.

In the men's 8K race freshman Micah Paulec ran a 34:52 and finished 26th in a field of 56 athletes. Senior Charles O'Brien came in 30th with a 35:32.
