Women's Soccer Falls to ACPHS

On Sunday The King's College Women's Soccer Team traveled up to the state capital to take on the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in the finale of the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) regular season.

TKC would face a stiff test from the Panthers who are in first place in the HVIAC and will be the #1 seed in next weekend's HVIAC conference playoffs. ACPHS wasted no time as they scored just five minutes into the game and took an 8-1 lead into halftime. The Lady Lions broke the shutout when freshman Rebekah Lambdin made a nice pass to sophomore Joanna Overmeyer who found the back of the net.

ACPHS added four more goals in the second half for the 12-1 final and outshot TKC 33-2 for the game. Lambdin and sophomore Ann Marie Carlson shared goalkeeping duties for the Lady Lions and combined for 8 saves.

With the loss TKC's overall record drops to 3-7 and 1-2 in the HVIAC.
