The King's Men's Soccer team improved to 5-1 for the season with a 3-1 victory over the Pratt Institute on Thursday night. The Lions outshot Pratt 22-5 although Pratt did have a 3-1 edge in corner kicks.
After a scoreless first half Anton Soerlin scored just three minutes into the second half with a slick left footed one touch shot as King's took a 1-0 lead. Just eight minutes later Samuel Johnson added another unassisted goal to increase the margin to 2-0. Three minutes later Pratt would cut the lead in half as they converted a header off of a corner kick. But Isaiah Williams would give King's their second 2-goal cushion in the 69th minute as he raced towards goal eluding a tackle by the goalkeeper then slipping a ball into an empty net.
