Men's Soccer Shuts Out Webb

The King's College Men's Soccer Team picked up their second straight victory with a 4-0 win over the Webb Institute. The team now has a three game unbeaten streak (2-0-1) and a shutout streak of over 270 minutes going back to the first game of the season, a 1-0 loss to SUNY-Maritime. This win follows a 1-0 double OT win against Cooper Union and a 0-0 tie with The New School. The game also marked the first Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action for both teams.

Goals were not a problem today for TKC as freshman Josiah Simons netted two, and fellow freshman Jackson Kane and senior Matt Contreras each added one of their own. Senior Williamt Carlton added an assist and the freshman trio of Tom Champlin, Craig Wishart and Andrew Knudsen each picked up a helper.

TKC freshman goalkeepers Richard Christensen and Thomas Gatt provided the third straight shutout in goal.

The Lions' record improves to 2-1-1 overall and 1-0 in the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

NEXT UP: On Saturday September 17 TKC will hit the road as they visit SUNY-New Delhi.
