Men's Basketball Victorious at Vaughn

With another blistering second half of scoring, The King's College Men's Basketball team cruised to their third straight victory to start the second semester. The win also marked their third consecutive HVIAC Conference win on the road as the Lions defeated Vaughn College 97-68.

Jimmy Nguyen led the team in scoring with 25 points while adding 9 assists and 2 steals as four Lions reached double digits in scoring. Mali Binen had a double-double with 23 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 3 blocks. Jordan Bishop also notched 23 points along with 9 assists, 5 rebounds, and 2 blocked shots. Morten Hansen had another double-double with 17 points, 11 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. Andrew Pelaschier added 9 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and a block. Nick Rommel picked up a rebound and 3 assists.

The King's offense continued to sizzle as they took a 37-28 advantage into halftime. But the Lions really roared in the second half as they outscored Vaughn 60-40. King's shot 48% from the floor in the game and 38% from three-point land.

But the Lions took care of business all over the court as they outrebounded the Warriors 40-33, and forced Vaughn into 18 turnovers while only giving the ball up 12 times.

The win improved the Lions' record to 6-5 overall and 3-1 in the conference.
