Lions Improve to 2-0 in an Undefeated Weekend

Coming off a huge win against Webb, the Lions were looking for their second win of the season in an away game against the Steels of Culinary Institute. In a close game, the Lions were able to come out on top with a 45-39 win, improving their record to 2-0. With three players coming close to securing a double-double, this season is off to a high start. 

Freshman Andrew Pelaschier continued to bring new talent to the team, showing out defensively. Pelaschier had the most rebounds for King's with a total of 8 defensive rebound and 5 offensive rebounds. Pelaschier strengthened the Lions' defense rejecting 5 shots from Culinary and making 3 steals. 

Sophomore Tyler Bowens continued to lead the team offensively, scoring the most points for the Lions, with a total of 13. Bowens also came close to notching his first double-double of the season, adding 9 defensive rebounds to help the Lions. Bowens posted 4 assists and made 3 steals as well. 

Sophomore Jordan Bishop, who had a phenomenal season his freshman year and stood within 2 points of a double-double. Bishop plays well both defensively and offensively, taking down 11 rebounds and putting up 8 points to help the Lions. 

Sophomore Ben Oldham continues to be a strong center for the Lions with 4 defensive rebounds and 3 offensive rebounds. Junior Ty Hutchins helped the Lions defensively with 6 defensive rebounds and 3 steals.
