Men's Basketball Senior Night against Five Towns

On February 2nd the Lions faced Five Towns College for the second time this season. In their last matchup, the Lions fell to the Sound, 102-39. The Lions played much better against this team this time, but still were downed by the Sound 73-51. In this game we also honored our seniors Luke Borchelt and Justin Cox.

Senior Justin Cox entered his third season of playing basketball this year. Cox has put up over 315 points for the Lions, took down over 95 rebounds, and has played over 770 minutes for the Lions.

Senior Luke Borchelt entered his second season of playing basketball this year, following playing goalkeeper for the Men's Soccer team. In his career he has scored over 400 points, snatched over 170 rebounds, and has played over 950 minutes as a Lion, in his time at King's.

Although the Lions did not come out with the win, Borchelt and freshman Jordan Bishop were able to score in the double-digits. Borchelt came out as the top scorer of both teams, putting up a season high of 22 points. Bishop followed behind, scoring a total of 15 points.

Freshman Ben Oldham had the most rebounds for the Lions, snatching six, and put up 4 points. Sophomore Mike Forcella also put up 4 points. Senior Justin Cox, sophomore Kirubell Asmamaw, and freshman Zachary Moeller all contributed 2 points for the Lions.

NEXT UP: The Lions will be taking on the Warriors from Vaughn College in a conference matchup on Thursday February 7th at Aviator Sports Complex (8:30pm).
