Men's Basketball Knocked Off by The New School

On Friday February 3 The King's College Men's Basketball team faced off against the The New School Narwhals at the Hill Center of St. Joseph's College in Brooklyn. Before the game TKC took a few minutes to honor the team's three seniors: James Brooks, Michael Sheetz and Caleb Trouwburst.

Once the game was underway King's got off to a sluggish start and had trouble building any momentum and trailed by 13 points at halftime 39-26. They mounted a comeback and drew within 3 points about midway through the second half. The Lions actually outscored The New School 27-26 in the second half, but it was not enough as they could out dig out of the first half hole they had dug. TKC ended up losing the game 65-53.

Senior James Brooks led the scoring for King's with 18 points and 4 rebounds, sophomore Trivette Knowles had 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 steals. Senior Caleb Trouwburst had 4 points and 4 rebounds, freshman Justin Cox had 10 points and 4 rebounds and freshman Jake Staples added 2 points and 2 rebounds. Senior Michael Sheetz added 2 points coming off the bench and freshman Nathan Rizzuti had a point and 5 rebounds.
