Men's Basketball Stopped by Sound

The King's College Men's Basketball Team traveled to Long Island last night to take on the Five Towns College Sound. TKC was hoping to take the doubleheader sweep of the Sound after the TKC Lady Lions had posted a 75-20 victory in the first game on Friday evening. That was not to be as the Sound rushed out to a 42-24 halftime lead and won by the final score of 83-53.

Sophomore Trivette Knowles did all he could for TKC scoring 10 points to go along with 9 rebounds and 2 steals. Freshman guard Jonathan Stevens had 9 points 6 rebounds and 4 steals and senior Caleb Trouwburst had 8 rebounds to go with 6 points. Freshman Joe Burkart added 5 points while senior James Brooks had 11 points.

The TKC bench added 8 rebounds and 12 points, but it was not enough as the athletic Five Towns squad dominated the boards 62-43 and created 30 points off of turnovers.

With the loss TKC falls to 0-2 overall to start the season. Five Towns College improves to 2-0.
