The Lady Lions Women's Volleyball team travelled to Pennsylvania to take on the University of Valley Forge Patriots on Saturday, September 11. With a few more practices and games since their season opener, the team seemed to have more chemistry and it showed on the scoreboard as they won the match 3-0 (25-7, 25-4. 25-6). The victory improved the team's record to 3-1.
The team got a balanced attack as all of the Lady Lions players found their way onto the scoresheet. Elizabeth Aguilar had a service ace. HaileyPaige Gilroy had 2 kills, 2 assists and 10 digs. Rachel Guerra had 4 kills on 6 attempts and 2 assists. Eliana Adler pitched in with a service ace and 4 digs. Abby Roth was all over the court with 4 kills, 16 assists, 5 service aces, and 7 digs. Bella Rush contributed with 8 digs, 2 service aces, and 6 digs. Samantha Klozik had 6 kills, 3 service aces, and 12 digs, and Alex Kemsley rounded out the scoring with 4 kills, 5 service aces, and 2 digs.
The team will get back to the practice court before taking on Pratt on Tuesday September 21 in Brooklyn.
