Women's Volleyball Improves to 2-1

The King's College Lady Lions Volleyball team improved to 2-1 for the season as they picked up a 3-0 win at Monroe College in New Rochelle, NY. 

Bella Rush continued her strong play with 9 kills to go with 12 digs and 2 service aces. She was joined in a balanced attack as Samantha Klozik had 6 kills and 17 digs while Alex Kemsley pitched in with 6 kills.

Monroe College came out strong and King's had to work hard to come out with a 26-24 win in the first set, but the Lady Lions found their groove and came away with 25-13 wins in the second and third sets. Abby Roth picked up where she left off contributing 17 assists to go along with 10 digs. Ruby Anastacio played in her first match of the season and picked up 3 digs and a service ace. Eliana Adler contributed 2 kills and 9 digs and Rachel Guerra added 2 kills and an assist. HaileyPaige Gilroy contributed 2 assists and 13 digs.

It was a solid effort in the early portion of the season as the team continues to improve and develop their chemistry. King's will be tested again this Saturday when they travel out to Pennsylvania to play the Patriots of the University of Valley Forge.
