Lady Lions Battle Davis Falcons in Five Sets

On October 20, The King's College Women's Volleyball team hosted Davis College for a Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (HVIAC) game. The Lady Lions came close to picking up the win at this conference game, but were downed by the Davis Falcons 3-2.

Despite the loss, freshman Samantha Klozik was able to post a high of thirty kills and thirty-five digs in this match. Missing one of the their outside hitters, the Lady Lions were able to move sophomore Hope Feller out of the setting position and into a hitting position, where she was able to get twelve kills and twenty-three digs.

Freshman Renae Maganza now in the setting position, was given the opportunity to increase her assists, posting fourteen assists and digs in this match. Senior Savannah White was able to contribute ten assists and twenty digs as well.

Freshman Sasha Conner was able to put away seven kills and freshman Leah Thomas added  four kills for the Lady Lions. Freshman libero Kyra Kleinsmith was able to get the ball up, adding twenty-four digs to help the Lady Lions.

The Lions will be facing Davis College in the semifinals at the HVIAC Championships on Saturday November 3, at The College of New Rochelle.
