The King's College Volleyball team came out firing on Sunday as they faced the Culinary Institute in the first match of a quad meeting hosted by the Pratt Institute. They made quick work of the Culinary Steels winning the match 3-0 with scores of 25-8, 25-11, 25-7. The match featured 27 kills and 19 service aces but the Lady Lions who were led by freshman Samantha Klozik's 13 points, senior Isabelle Sandmeyer's 12 points and sophomore Hope Feller's 11 points. Freshman Sasha Conner added 7 points to the effort while freshman Kyra Kleinsmith chipped in with 3.

The second match of the day would not go nearly as quickly as King's took on the formidable SUNY New Delhi Broncos. The Lady Lions outlasted the Broncos to a 3-2 win in a grueling five set match: 25-20, 20-25, 25-22, 17-25, 15-13. Isabelle Sandmeyer continued her strong season in setting a good example for her young team as she seemed to be a factor all over the court. The senior had 19 kills, 4 assists, 5 aces and 27 points, and defensively she had 19 digs and 3 blocked shots. Freshman Samantha Klozik, coming off 3 straight HVIAC Rookie of the Week performances made her claim for a fourth such recognition with 20 kills, 6 assists, 3 aces and 27 points, while adding 29 digs and 4 blocked shots. Freshman Kyra Kleinsmith was tough defensively with 20 digs. Freshman Leah Thomas added 2 kills and 5 blocks. Sophomore Hope Feller had a strong game with 11 assists, 4 aces, 10 digs and 7 points. Freshman Renae Maganza notched 13 assists and 11 digs. Freshman Sasha Conner provided quality on both sides of the ball with 3 kills, 5 digs, 5 blocked shots and 7 points. Senior Savannah White rounded out the scoresheet with 3 digs and a blocked shot to go along with 6 assists and 2 points. TKC Coach Alexandra Salavitch said, "this might've been our best game of the season and definitely our most exciting win."

That pulsating victory against SUNY New Delhi might have taken a physical and emotional toll on the Lady Lions as they seemed a bit fatigued in the third and final match of the day. King's succombed 0-3 to the Pratt Institute Cannoneers (17-25, 19-25, 6-25) as Pratt was able to prey on the weary Lions with 13 service aces. King's did not go easily as Isabelle Sandmeyer struck for 10 kills and 11 points. Samantha Klozik added 6 kills and 6 points and bravely defended with 9 digs. Renae Maganza and Hope Feller added 11 and 6 assists, respectively. Kyra Kleinsmith pitched in with 7 digs and Leah Thomas blocked a shot. Savannah White and Ruby Anastacio each contributed a dig. Freshman Sasha Conner had 4 kills and a dig.
