This August, a group of young women traveled to New York City from across the country for volleyball preseason. With one piece of luggage and their volleyball gear, they left from places like Florida, Arizona, California, and North Carolina, headed for Manhattan. They practiced two times everyday, gearing up for the regular season. With a mix of drills, scrimmages, and sprints, this group of women dedicated themselves to the sport and to each other. Led by junior captain, Dekka Hunley, the Women's Volleyball welcomes seven new players. I look forward to seeing this young team grow over the next few months and years.
