Women's Soccer Bested by Bryant & Stratton-Syracuse

Under a brilliant, sunny sky on Sunday afternoon The King's College Women's Soccer Team took on Bryant & Stratton of Syracuse in a non-conference game between two United States College Athletics Association (USCAA) teams.

Bryant & Stratton struck for goals in the 16th and 39th minute of the first half to stake themselves to a 2-0 halftime lead. TKC first half goalkeeper, freshman Rebekah Lambdin, stood firm as she faced 18 shots in the first 45 minutes. Sophomore Ann Marie Carlson would relieve Lambdin for second half goalkeeping duties as the Bobcats fired off 19 more shots with three reaching the back of the net for the 5-0 final. Lambdin and Carlson combined for an impressive 14 saves in the game.

TKC sophomores Madeline Montgomery and Madeline Tyler each had a shot on goal but could not put it past Bryant & Stratton keeper Lissette Infante.

NEXT UP: On Thursday September 15 TKC will take on Monroe College at Aviator Sports Complex in Brooklyn.
