On January 26th, the Lady Lions took on the Blue Angels from the College of New Rochelle in a conference matchup. The Blue Angels are currently the top ranked women's basketball team in the HVIAC conference, putting the Lady Lions to the test in this game.
This was an all-around low scoring game for the Lady Lions, only having the chance to put up single digits in three of the four quarter they played. The Lady Lions would be defeated by the Blue Angels, 68-22.
Sophomore Sha Sanders was the top scorer from King's, notching nine points for the Lady Lions. Sophomore Catie Shoemaker had the most rebounds, snatching six, she added four assists, and also contributed three points.
Senior Megan LeBlanc followed close behind with points, scoring eight and took down five rebounds as well. Freshman Hannah Gillihan also grabbed five rebounds to help the Lady Lions. Freshman Emmaline Waller had three rebounds and also had three steals.
