TKC Women's Basketball vs. Cooper Union

The King's College Women's Basketball Team had a phenomenal 80-20 victory over Cooper Union College on Saturday afternoon. Forcing 31 steals through the course of the game; King's showed up ready to play. Freshman Bailey Kaufman dominated the court with a triple-double scoring 13 points, 12 rebounds, 10 assists, along with eight steals, and was named HVIAC Rookie of the Week.

Freshman, Catie Shoemaker, had the high score of 17 points for the game while senior captain Megan Starnes followed just behind with 14 points. Senior captain Anna Eaves scored 12 points with 9 rebounds while Kylie Locklar put up 10 points and Kara Simmons had 6. Freshman Chantel McFarland continued her hard work under the basket with a 16 rebounds and 8 points.

"Catie and Bailey's games were hopefully a building block for them for the rest of the season and for the next three years," said Assistant Coach Nicholas Swedick about the freshmen contribution during the game. "Saturday's win was an example of what our team looks like when we play loose and with confidence. It was a great team win, and everyone on the team contributed."
