Women's Basketball Outlasted by Vaughn

The injury-ravaged Lady Lions Women's Basketball team took on the Vaughn Warriors tonight in a Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Conference game. Playing with just six players King's fought valiantly and trailed 15-11 at halftime. But fatigue seemed to catch up with them in the second half as the Warriors pulled away for the 50-23 win.

King's had a great night under the glass pulling down a season-high 45 rebounds led by Kara Simmons with 13. Anna Eaves had 9 boards while Megan Starnes had 8. Kylie Locklar had 6, Elaina Bals had 5 and Kathryn Brooks, playing in her first collegiate basketball games, chipped in with 2. Eaves led the team with 9 points while Starnes added 6.
