Track and Field Opens Up Their 2019 Season

The King's College Track and Field Team opened up their 2019 season at the Saint Joseph's College Spring Opener held in Patchogue, NY. Each of our athletes did a phenomenal job and some even topped personal records from last years season.

Senior Jonathan Pressley ran in the 100M earning a time of 12.57, shaving 0.3 seconds off of his 2nd place HVIAC Championship winning time of 12.87. Pressley also ran in the 200M receiving a time of 26.34, cutting down his time by 1.32 seconds from last year.

Sophomore Elijah Carlstrom competed in his first track and field meet with the Lions, running two events. Carlstrom ran a 13.31 in the 100M, which is the first time he has ever done this event. He ran the 400M as well, receiving a time of 1:00.43, finishing first in his section.

Junior Christina Lewis ran the 100M, earning a time of 14.94, finishing 0.37 seconds faster than her best time last year. Lewis also ran in the 200M, finishing with a time of 34.19.

UP NEXT: The Lions will be heading to Newburgh, NY to compete in the Mount Saint Mary's Invitational on Saturday March 30th.
