Coach Phillips was born and raised in Bradenton, Florida and graduated from The University of Central Florida in 2001 as a dual sport athlete. Coach Todd then played in the MLS with DC United for the next 3 seasons.

After a foot injury shortened his career, he moved to NYC in 2006. He became the Head Soccer and Basketball Coach for Chelsea Piers Bluestreak. He worked with hundreds of athletes from youth to professional level in over 5 years at Chelsea Piers. He has worked with travel programs, High School, College, and professional level soccer as a coach and player. His main philosophy is “never to stop learning and progressing...you can always be better than you were yesterday”. Coach Todd is currently the holder of the USSF D coaching license and also works with elite level travel players at Asphalt Green.

The 2018 season will be Coach Phillips 3rd season at King's.
