Men's Soccer Falls to St. Elizabeth in Season Opener

The King's Men's Soccer team kicked off their 2021 season on a beautiful Saturday afternoon in Morristown, NJ. It was the team's first game since 2019 after the canceled 2020 season due to covid-19.

A little rust may have been involved for the Lions as they gave up three goals in the first 25 minutes. But after falling into the 3-0 hole, King's seemed to settle down and play their game. They did not concede another goal as freshman goalkeeper Seth Atkinson made 8 saves on 19 shots. Unfortunately, they couldn't find the back of the net at the other end of the field although they did manage 8 shots with 7 of them being on goal. Malik Syed, Edwin Perez, and Richard Cummings each had 2 shots with all 6 shots being on frame.

The team gets back to work on Labor Day Monday with a road match in Pennsylvania at Rosemont College.
