Men's Soccer Falls to Privateers

Men's Soccer Falls to Privateers
SUNY-Maritime's Nicholas Ciacca started the season off quickly with a goal just four minutes into the game. He drove home a cross past The King's College sophomore goalkeeper Richard Christensen to give the Privateers a 1-0 lead they would never relinquish.

The Privateers scored two more goals in the first half to take a 3-0 lead into the halftime break. Then they quickly added a goal 70 seconds into the start of the second half along with another strike at the 71st minute mark to bring the final score to 5-0. Christensen held strong in the net for the Lions, but TKC was never able to establish any momentum as they were outshot 15-1 in the first half and 22-2 for the game. SUNY-Maritime held a 6-3 edge in corner kicks.

NEXT UP: TKC will travel to Syracuse on Labor Day Monday to take on SUNY-ESF in their first HVIAC conference game of the season.
