Men's Soccer Falls to Fisher in Finale

Men's Soccer Falls to Fisher in Finale

On Saturday the Fisher College Falcons jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead on goals by Tom Pugliese in the first four minutes and never looked back as they defeated The King's College 7-0. Pugliese added 3 assists as Fisher took a 5-0 lead into the halftime break. Fisher added two more goals in the first 12 minutes of the second half as Jordan Markovich scored twice.

Though the scoreboard result may have been disappointing, the future seems bright for The King's College Men's Soccer Team as 16 freshmen saw action on the field this season. 13 freshman made the trip up to Boston on Saturday and fought hard to the final whistle. Freshman goalkeeper Thomas Gatt did all he could in making 13 saves in the game. Freshman forward Daniel Fuenzalida came close to ending the shutout when his shot rocketed off the Fisher goalpost in the 84th minute.

The TKC Lions were outshot 33-3 for the game while the Falcons held an 8-0 advantage in corner kicks.

The young TKC squad saw their season come to an end with an overall record of 4-8-2 and an HVIAC conference record of 3-4-1.
