Lions Top Season Records Against Vaughn College

On February 7th the Lions took on the Warriors in their last home game of the season. The Lions came close to securing the win, falling to the Warriors by nine points, 70-61.

The Lions held the lead for most of the first half, only allowing the Warriors to close the gap towards the end. The first half ended with the Lions and the Warriors tied at 30-30. Opening up the second half, the Warriors sunk three three-point shots back to back, extending their lead. The Lions would work hard to regain the lead, but were unable to do so in time.

Despite the loss, this was the best showing the Lions have had in this half of the season, with many players topping their personal records. Three players put up points in the double-digits and one player was able to secure the first double-double of his career in this game.

Freshman Jordan Bishop continues to be one of the top scorers each game, putting up the most points for the Lions with a total of 21. This is the fifth game in which Bishop has scored 20 or more points.

Senior Luke Borchelt scored 19 points, took down 4 rebounds, and made the most assists, with a total of five.

Freshman Ben Oldham was able to secure his first ever career double-double, snatching 13 rebounds, 10 defensive and 3 offensive, and putting up a season high of 10 points.

Freshman Zachary Moeller took down a season high of 7 rebounds and sophomore Ty Hutchins followed close behind, grabbing a season high of six.
