On February 1st, the Lions faced Cooper Union for the second time this season. Triumphing over them in the first matchup, the Lions were fairly confident in their abilities to take the win a second time.

The Lions struggled to work as a cohesive unit in the first half, scoring 11 points below Cooper Union. The second half was much better for the Lions and they were able to outscore Cooper Union. But unfortunately their efforts came too late to get the win, falling 66-56.

Although this game did not result in a win, three players were able to put up points in the double-digits and all came very close to securing double-doubles.

Senior Benjamin Borchelt scored a high of 21 points, snatched 8 rebounds, and had 3 assists. Freshman Jordan Bishop put up 15 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, and had 1 steal to help the Lions. Senior Justin Cox earned 13 points, took down 8 rebounds, and had 1 steal.

Sophomore Ty Hutchins scored 4 points and had 1 defensive rebound. While freshman Ben Oldham scored 3 points and had 5 rebounds for the Lions.

NEXT UP: Tomorrow the Lions will take on Five Towns College for the second time this season at Baruch College (3:45pm).
