Lions Fall to the Knights

Lions Fall to the Knights

In their last game of 2018, the Lions faced the Berkeley College Knights, a highly-ranked team in both the HVIAC and USCAA conference, dropping the game 101-43. The Lions fought hard in this game, and despite not coming out victorious, there were still many notable plays made.

Continuing to show his skills, freshman Tyler Bowens scored the most points of both teams with a season high of 25 points. Being consistent in his free throw attempts, Bowens earned the majority of his points making 17 out of the 20 free throws he was given. The remaining eight points were scored on four two-point shots.

Freshman Jordan Bishop and senior Will Doerger both contributed six points for the Lions. While senior Luke Borchelt added three points, freshman Ben Oldham two points, and sophomore Ty Hutchins one point.

Defensively the Lions played well with Bowens and Bishop each snatching nine rebounds, both consisting of four offensive rebounds and five defensive rebounds. Oldham followed, taking down seven rebounds, two offensive and five defensive.
