On Monday, November 26th, the Lions travelled to the College of Saint Elizabeth to face the Eagles, dropping the game 96-72.

Struggling to find the basket in the first half, the Lions were 20 points behind the Eagles, 47-27. The Lions played a much better second half, only scoring four less points than the Eagles. But with the challenging first half, the Lions were unable to make the comeback needed to defeat the Eagles.

Freshman Tyler Bowens topped the Lions in points scored, with a total of 23. Bowens made 15 out of the 21 free throw attempts he was given, the highest percentage of free throws made for both teams. Bowens also snatched eight rebounds and two steals, helping the Lions' defense.

Senior Will Doerger added 17 points and took down four defensive rebounds. Senior Luke Borchelt followed close behind, shooting 15 points for the Lions. Freshman Jordan Bishop was able to post six points and get eight rebounds. With the performance that Bishop had in the games he played last week, he was named Rookie of the Week by the Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

NEXT UP: The Lions will take on the Cannoneers from Pratt Institute, on Thursday, November 29th, at St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn (8:15pm).
